McCain&Palin, What will America become?

I really try to keep this on a more personal social level.  I really am all about the parties, nightlife and concerts.  However, our future as American’s Is in serious jeopardy at this time, and I cannot help but wonder if I am the only person that is concerned.  I was able to recognize some months ago that in this forth coming election the nominee choices for running mates would mean a great deal.  There are several reasons for this deduction but I will give the main reason for both nominee’s.

In the case of Obama, here is a man set to make history.  If successful, he would become the first “multi-racial” president of the United States.  While some cheer the newness of this I am deeply concerned with Barack Obama’s potential lifespan.  I fear he would become the target of every racially motivated, deranged person out there.  The potential for an assassination is  huge!

With regards to McCain, he is a somewhat older gentleman.  I hope he is in the perfect health that such a position should require, but at the age of 72, we have to wonder…

From what I can decipher, Mr. Biden has many years experience in our Government and could possibly continue to run our country with little transition. It seems that Mr. Biden could take over as  President with little or no transition and we could survive.

However, in the case of Ms. Palin,  I am certainly concerned and I lack the same sense of security.  She has two years experience as the Governor of Alaska.  Alaska is reputedly the smallest populated state within the United States.  I am also not quite convinced she can run our great country when she appears to have issues with running her own family.  Could this really be a possibility?  I find it profoundly scary.

We are in much need of a period of recovery.  President Bush, Sr. came into office and left us in serious agony.  President Clinton was able to enter after this and repair the damage.  now President Bush, Jr.  has us in a condition of detriment, I implore the American people to wake up and smell the coffee.

Republican presidential nominee Mr John McCain seems willing to continue the downward spiral commenced by Mr. President Bush and I am quite certain so is his running mate.  Should we choose to call her that!  Some prefer “Hockey Mom – With Lipstick”

This is a serious situation that we all need to consider.  The selected running mates of both presidential candidates needs to be entirely reviewed.  Let us not get carried away with the first this and the first that.  Let us not be so stubborn as to imagine that the first would automatically be a bad thing.  Instead let us all as adults look at the future of the united States of America and attempt to make the right decision based on what is best for America and the American people.

I am quite confident that both Ms. Palin and Mr. Biden are decent people. I just wonder if they will be decent Vice Presidents or possibly decent Presidents of the United States???

Weekends

Here we are. Sunday night. Another weekend gone. It seems the weekends pass so quickly. Friday night I had dinner with someone of interest, we shall see where that goes. Saturday night i had some friends over at my place. We ate, drank wine and watched movies. All in all it was a relatively quite weekend for me. I am trying to come up with something different to do next weekend though. i am in the mood for some serious fun.. Any and all suggestions, on fun things to do, would be greatly appreciated.
